Delete Your GoodBites Account

GoodBites is the mobile app that connects you with partner stores offering surprise bags of surplus food. This page explains how to request deletion of your GoodBites account and the personal data associated with it.
Option 1 — Delete in the GoodBites app (recommended)
You can permanently delete your account directly from the app. You must be signed in to your GoodBites account.
- Open the GoodBites app and sign in.
- Go to Profile (your account tab).
- Under Account, tap Delete Account.
- Read the confirmation message, then tap Delete Permanently.
- You will be signed out and your account will be removed.
This action is permanent and cannot be undone.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you cannot access the app, email us from the address linked to your GoodBites account:

Subject: GoodBites Account Deletion Request
Please include:
- Your full name
- The email address registered to your GoodBites account
- A brief statement that you want your account and data deleted
We may ask you to verify your identity before processing the request.
What data is deleted
When your account is deleted, we remove or anonymize:
- Your account profile (name, email, phone number, password)
- Saved delivery and pickup addresses
- Favorite stores and saved offers
- Push notification tokens
- Account preferences and referral links tied to your profile
- Saved payment method tokens associated with your account
What data may be kept
Some information may be retained after account deletion where required by law or for legitimate business purposes, including:
- Order and payment records (amounts, dates, store names, transaction references) for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution
- Support correspondence related to unresolved issues or legal requests
- Aggregated or anonymized data that no longer identifies you
Retention period
In-app account deletion is processed immediately. Email deletion requests are typically completed within 30 days. Order and transaction records that we must retain for legal or financial compliance may be kept for up to 7 years, after which they are deleted or anonymized where permitted by law.
Delete data without deleting your account
You can remove some data while keeping your account active:
- Delivery addresses: Profile → Delivery Addresses → delete individual addresses
- Saved payment cards: Profile → Payment Methods → remove a card
- Profile details: Profile → Account Details → update or remove optional information
